Yayoi Kusama and Louis Vuitton have come together to create a collaborative collection featuring Yayoi’s signature polka dots on clothing, shoes, handbags, and other accessories. The collection will be called “Infinitely Kusama”, and it set to be released this coming July.

Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton’s creative director, has been known to bring in artists of all types for collaborations with the French design house, such as, Richard Prince, Takashi Murakami and Stephen Sprouse. Although an 82-year-old Japanese multimedia artist like Yayoi seems to be an odd choice for a collaboration with the classic Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs has always been one to pleasingly surprise. Yayoi’s designs of complex polka dot designs will bring a fun summer element to this limited edition “Infinitely Kusama” collection.
