I was browsing around Deviant Art today and came across an illustration titled “Rue Cour Du Dragon” (pictured below) and fell in love with how much the overall composition told a parisian fashion story, based in the 1900′s.  Spanish illustrator, Anais Galvez uses creates gorgeous fashion illustrations using watercolor and pencil to make detailed textures draped around elongated body parts.

"Rue Cour Du Dragon" inspired by "Les costumes Parisiens" in 1914.

Looking at more of her works, Anais hints at the era of inspiration within background imagery or accessorized detail.  The fashion in her works however, largely draws inspiration from more recent collections by some of the top fashion houses.  Giving textures and detail predominately to the wardrobe, it looks as though the outfit wears the model, opposed to the other way around.

I looked for more information Anais, with no luck.  So, stay tuned, we’re gonna hunt her down and see if we can get a little peek inside of her creative mind, artistic process and overall inspiration.
