I cant not believe that I have notfeatured Aleksandra Stanglewicz‘ fashion illustration series of top fashion bloggers. I’ve been working closely with her on a daily basis for The Runway’s limited edition collection and completely neglected sharing this series with all of you. Well here it is.
Stanglewicz illustrates her top fashion bloggers with a whimsical fluidity, giving each illustration a youthful energy brought to life by the model more the than the individual garments alone.
I love working with Aleksandra, she’s like a ball of energy just ready to tackle the world and show what she is capable of. She walks into a project with an open mind, ready and willing to express her ideas, while leaving room to hear both critique and suggestion, taking both into account. As I viewed her illustrations it made me start to think about the growing popularity of fashion bloggers.
What are your thoughts on fashion bloggers? I love them all but I have an affinity for up and coming bloggers. The way that they style outfits and showcase them with a sheer vulnerability, letting you in close enough to taste their ambition. These are the ones that have gained a nice following, but are still trying to figure it all out. Everyday is an experiment, a test, and readers are just along for the ride.
Top fashion bloggers are a brand, they sell a lifestyle. When they are not selling out a product with the ease of a tweet or working with global brands, you can find them hopping from one end of the earth to the next sporting a combination of high end labels with enough entitlement you might mistake them for a member of Lagerfeld’s immediate family. Readers watch from a distance, as these bloggers breathe life into ensembles that otherwise would have just been seen as a mere combination of garments.
