Ignasi Monreal recently posted his dissertation, presumably used to complete his degree in Creative Fashion Management at Instituto Europeo di Design, and I have to say he created some striking fashion illustration s.

“The project built a communication strategy though innovative channels for Alexander McQueen. It envolves fashion illustration, technology, online strategies as well as PR actions.” -Ignasi Monreal

In the character design composition (pictured above), Monreal wonderfully renders the looks we have all come to associate with the iconic Alexander Mcqueen brand.  His illustrations are not only relevant but appropriately mix, fashion illustration and digital art, giving the illustrations a unique artistic flare, without moving too far into his own interpretive direction.

Within each individual piece, including his faces study, Monreal chooses his focal point(s) and gives them detail and dimension, while the rest of the composition merely adds to the overall story.

It's only a game! Alexander McQueen S/S 2005. Inspired by great artist Jon Foster.

Having already had his works published by the likes of: Harper’s Bazaar Spain,  Nest Madrid and Varon Magazine, I think we will be seeing a lot more of Monreal’s work in the coming years.

Atlantis: Alexander McQueen S/S 2010

Horn of Plenty: Alexander McQueen F/W2009

Team McQueen: Lee A. McQueen, Sarah Burton, Philip Treacy and Isabella Blow
