Fashion illustrations by Nicolas Tavitian are as much portraiture’s of glamorous women as they are sensual models portraying the relationship between art, fashion and the way the two come together and communicate the ideals of a trend. There is something very realistic, yet unattainable about his subjects.
“Imagination and elegance occupy a prominent place” in his fashion illustration style.
The Parisian illustrator has worked with fashion houses and magazines including: Harpers Bazaar, Moschino, Nylon and Esquire to name a few. Adding light geometric elements to his compositions, Tavitian is capable give us depth, and confident sensuality in all of his illustrations. Balanced equally by fashion, the women he draws command their garments as I can only imagine they would in real life.
