As we continue to build this fashion illustration hub, I find that I am talking more and more to fashion bloggers.  I can appreciate their undying love for all things fashion and I think that the web provides a platform for various niche’s.  1,000 bloggers can spotlight the exact same item each with their own take, photography and thoughts to share.   I recently came across russian illustrator Lena Ker’s fashion blogger series.

In researching a few fashion bloggers I happened to click on a link in someone’s blogroll titled Artwork by Lena Ker and I am happy I did.  Lena Ker’s illustrations are both structured and detailed but her stroke is soft and her color palette is fresh.  Each illustration seems to be a fleeting thought, an image that she brought into a different life, none of which end or begin, they just fade away.  An incomplete outfit, an incomplete story, just enough to give you an idea of who she is illustrating, what they wore, and their style.

Buttoned up, slick and straight forward with the accessory piece that hints at a moment of ease, Eugenia Applebum graces the page silently whispering, “happy girls are the prettiest”, more statement than opinion.  Blue fur and top hat complete the mysteriously confident Nicky armed with what she refers to as “fashion super powers”.  Juliana needs no more than a face and outline of a blazer to detail her regimented, researched and well thought out fashion style, feeling doesn’t drive her choices.  More American in thought and style than the rest, Aliya‘s playfully accessorized and layered.
