The Surfrider Foundation is consistenly creating new ways to communicate towards the protection of the ocean and its coastline. With the help of some talented graphic designers such a The Obey Giant and their collaboration with Ralph Lauren, their apparel has made it into a bevy of online retailers, and onto the racks of the Bloomingdales mens department. Surfrider Foundation pushes the boundaries of poromtional apparel, creating more than a graphic t-shirt or a hoodie, rather producing unique/interesting graphics on quality/functional garments.
Beyond the apparel market, Surfrider Foundation continues to find new and exciting ways to attract volunteers for various causes pertaining to the preservation and sustainable costal management.
In relation with last years destructive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Surfider Foundation Europe designed a sexy new calendar with Y & R Paris, in an effort to attract new volunteers to the foundation. In remembrance of the catastrphic oil spill, they choose sexy surfer/models wearing nothing but oil bathing suits with the tag line, ”The Ocean is much more precious than all the black and gold in the world.”
